How does applying for the credit card impact my credit?
Applying for the Perpay Credit Card will have no impact on your credit score.
If your application is approved, accepting the credit offer will create a new credit line on your credit report which may impact your credit score. Please know that your payment history and credit card utilization may impact your credit score.
My application was declined. Why?
For more information on why your application was not approved at this time, please refer to the email provided after the submission of your complete credit card application. The email provides insight into why your application was not approved. Your credit score will not be impacted as a result of this decision.
My application was declined. Can I apply again?
Yes, you can. However, you must wait at least 30 days since your last application decision was made before doing so.
I was told my credit was frozen. What does this mean?
A credit freeze is a restriction that you can put on your credit report that does not allow a new line of credit to be opened. If you have a frozen credit report, Perpay will not be able to fully process your credit card application until the credit freeze is lifted.
To temporarily or permanently lift this freeze, you can contact each of the following credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
I was told that I have a fraud alert on my credit report. What does this mean?
A fraud alert is a security measure that you can put on your credit report that makes it more difficult for someone to open a new line of credit in your name.
Typically, these are put in place if you are concerned with identity theft. If you have a fraud alert on your credit report, that is no problem! Before we fully process your application, we will just need to further verify your identity.
