Your payment history with Perpay must be built using payments made by you and from external accounts under your name. No one else is able to make payments on your account. This includes, but is not limited to a parent, a child, a partner, or a friend.
I paid for someone else, or someone made a payment for me, now what?
If a payment is made on your account that is not from your payroll direct deposit, or if you made a payment for someone else, you will need to reach out to our Customer Success Team to let us know more about your situation.
Once our team has verified the situation, we can return the payment to the original payroll provider. This process may take up to 8 to 10 business days, at which point the payment should be returned. Once the payment has been verified as being returned to the correct employer or payroll provider, the person who sent the payment to Perpay will need to follow up with their specific employer or payroll provider to obtain more information about the returned funds.
Perpay does not have the ability to change or cancel any direct deposit amount sent from your employer or payroll provider. Only you can direct your employer or payroll provider to change or cancel your direct deposit amount sent to your Perpay account.
What should I do if my name has changed?
Please know that the name on your Perpay account should be your full legal name. If your name has changed and no longer matches the name on your account, we will need to update your account to match your current name.
Please reach out to our Customer Success Team, and let us know what you want to update your name to. Please be prepared to send a picture of your most up-to-date photo ID or other requested documentation so we can verify your identity. Once this information is received and reviewed, our team will update your account!
What If I share a bank account with someone else?
We cannot apply a payment made from a bank account to your Perpay account unless the name on the bank account matches the name on your Perpay account.
