How Perpay Uses Direct Deposit for Payments

Learn how Perpay uses direct deposit to make simple, automatic payments from your paycheck and how to set it up or manage it.

Updated this week

Direct deposit is a safe and automatic way for your employer to send your minimum payment directly to your Perpay account.

We use direct deposit to help you make simple, automatic payments on your purchases—directly from your paycheck. Only a small portion of your paycheck goes to Perpay. The rest goes to your usual bank account.

What Is Direct Deposit?

Direct deposit is a secure and automatic method for your employer to send a payment directly to your Perpay account. Perpay uses direct deposit to facilitate simple, automatic payments for your purchases, taken directly from your paycheck. Only a small portion of your paycheck is allocated to Perpay; the remainder is deposited into your usual bank account.

Perpay utilizes direct deposit for several key reasons:

  • Automation: Direct deposit helps you stay on track with automatic payments, eliminating the need to remember due dates.

  • Cost Savings: An automated payment model allows Perpay to avoid charging interest or hidden fees.

  • Peace of Mind: Using direct deposit provides confidence that your payments are consistently and automatically handled.

Setting Up Direct Deposit

To set up direct deposit with Perpay, you will need the following information:

  • Perpay Routing and Account Number: These numbers will be provided to you once your order or credit card application is approved.

  • Employer's Payroll System: You will need access to your employer's payroll system, which could be a service like ADP, Paycom, or Workday.

  • Payment Amount: You will need the specific amount or percentage to send to Perpay, which is calculated based on your payment plan.

Managing or Stopping Your Direct Deposit

You have the ability to change or stop your direct deposit at any time. This can be done through your payroll provider or employer's payroll system.

If your Perpay balance is fully paid, it is recommended that you stop the direct deposit to prevent sending any extra funds to your Perpay account.
